I’ve often heard people say that you can’t be all things, to all people and it’s true, however, when you understand who you are in the Kingdom, it’s easier to navigate your assignments. 1 Corinthians 9:19-23 reads, “19 Though I am free(A) and belong to no one, I have made myself a slave to everyone,(B) to win as many as possible.(C) 20 To the Jews I became like a Jew, to win the Jews.(D) To those under the law I became like one under the law (though I myself am not under the law),(E) so as to win those under the law.21 To those not having the law I became like one not having the law(F) (though I am not free from God’s law but am under Christ’s law),(G) so as to win those not having the law. 22 To the weak I became weak, to win the weak.(H) I have become all things to all people(I) so that by all possible means I might save some.(J) 23 I do all this for the sake of the gospel, that I may share in its blessings.”
This past weekend, I was blessed to show up in three different spaces in one day. I spoke as the Host on Blogtalk radio, facilitator in a virtual transformation workshop, and participant in a virtual forum to strengthen women regarding their LOVE game. I served as Evangelist and Teacher; Prophet and Apostle, and at the end of the day, Counselor. I became who I needed to be as the Spirit of God put leverage on my needed gift.
I share this with you because in this hour, we can’t just SHOW UP and bulldoze over people because of a title, we must be sensitive to the needs and trust the Holy Spirit to reveal how you respond to what your audience, His people need. Let me challenge you today to exercise every facet of your gift package, knowing when and how to show up in this hour, that someone might be saved. Know Your Role!
