I’m Alive Again

It was meet that we should make merry, and be glad: for this, thy brother was dead, and is alive again, and was lost, and is found.  Luke 15:32 KJV

Society has programmed us to believe that when you reach a certain age, that you’re grown. You have all the answers, no one’s opinion is useful, and you stumble through life blindly. That’s who I was. I was preaching, prophesying, and traveling the world with my saved, and sanctified self, seeing myself more highly than I ought and looking a pure fool. I was serving the Lord based on my understanding of what was needed of me, and yet I was dead to those that needed me.

In Luke 15, the story of the prodigal son speaks to my journey this week. In this account, a young son, after receiving his inheritance, took to the streets to live his life, wasting all that had been given to him. I didn’t have that same experience, but I received of the Lord a gift, and because I thought that serving the “church” should be the priority – I committed all my time there. I took time away from my family and children to serve the church, and when I couldn’t give anymore, I was tossed aside to fend for myself.

This rejection from the “church” was not a rejection from God. This was me not understanding that the requirement was to serve God and not a man, and in building my relationship with the Father, I would be able to live an abundant life. I needed to come alive in Christ, and I did! I repented. I acknowledged the misalignment in my relationship with God was like a death sentence and asked for forgiveness of my ignorance. I could go to church every day, three times a day and still have no relationship.

Have you been in this place, where you were so focused on pleasing man that you neglected the right relationship with Christ? This week, become alive again in Christ. Allow God to be your focus and behind him, your family, and then your assignment!

Exert from My Reality Revealed

Change can happen but it Begins with You!

There are a lot of us who are desiring change to take place in one area or another in our lives, but we’re waiting for that thing to change or another individual to initiate it.  Not going to happen!  Do you realize that you have the power within to be a world changer?  Not just changing the situations close to you but really making an impact on the world!

What is the main thing that keeps us from change? In my opinion, it’s FEAR, false evidence appearing real.  Did you read that?  Read it again.  Fear is false evidence appearing real!  We have been stifled and stunted by fear too long – it’ time to step out with faith, trusting and believing that God’s promises concerning us are true!  Deuteronomy 31:6 reads, “Be strong and courageous.  Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave your nor forsake you.”  Isn’t it comforting to know that whatever we are facing, God is there will us – strengthening us and protecting us to move forward?

What do you want to change?  Is it something about you personally?  Is it a career change or educational endeavor you’re contemplating?  Is it a family situation?  Is it your ministry or business?  Whatever it is, the change can happen but it takes each of us to be able to hear God, know His purpose and plan for your lives and then began to walk it out – without fear!  Change can happen when YOU’RE willing to do what it takes to change.

His Love Penetrates

Before I see him come through the door, I feel his presence.  I see the look in his eyes and the smile on his face – his love penetrates.

He walks in, pauses, and gives me a nod – his head slightly tilted to the side.  His presence fills the room and he catches the attention of all.  He’s walking towards me – his love penetrates!

The touch of his hand, the warmth of his embrace, the softness of his lips, the passion in his kiss – His love penetrates!

The moments that we’re apart are challenging at times but not one second, minute, hour, day or month moves me because his love penetrates!

Being found by the man that God ordained is such a blessing.  This Love is more than emotions – its commitment.  I’m grateful for this marriage and knowing that his love penetrates!

Love up on your man today, he will appreciate it – mines did!
